Glass Wine Cellar Doors by Sans Soucie
Glass wine cellar doors created thru the art of sandblast etching and carving, these beautiful hand-made custom glass doors can be ordered prehung or slab door, or as glass inserts if you already have your door frame. You’ll notice in the examples below that there’s a different price range – in the same design. The first set below is of our Vineyard Grapes designs shown in 3D Carved, followed by the Solid Frost versions below. All are done by sandblasting, but one is a solid white sandblast, while the 3D carved glass is what’s called a “stage” sandblast where the artist sandblasts one design segment at a time, sculpting and and carving deep in the (thicker glass) for carving. All glass is tempered for safety and doors will be interior 1-3/8 thick with single pane glass for wine cellars that are not cooled, and for refrigerated wine cellars, the doors will be the heavier, exterior 1-3/4″ thickness, and dual pane glass.
