Exquisite Frosted, Carved Hand Painted Glass Doors by Sans Soucie

This week, Sans Soucie Art Glass shipped this stunning pair or interior door glass inserts, that are frosted, dimensionally carved and hand painted glass, in an “Erte woman” style, portraiture design.

Each panel is 16-1/4″ x 68-3/4″ and is 3/8″ thick. The glass backbround is frosted, with the woman dimensionally carved and hand painted. Details in the fur hat are painted blue, and the red wine, lips and cigarette tip really “pop” and add the perfect finishing touches.

This glass was shipped and will soon be installed inside a Manhattan, New York apartment.

Bathroom Vanity Glass, Vessel Sink Vanities

Your bathroom vanity and sink can be a beautiful feature of your bathroom with custom glass by Sans Soucie Art Glass. Gorgeous custom designed etched, carved and hand painted glass designs are available in any style, color or size.

Cherry Blossoms Bathroom Vanity and Sink, features frosted glass, with carved and hand painted Cherry Blossom Branches and Blooms.

Glass is custom designed to compliment (or inspire!) the decor of your bathroom. Glass sinks are custom carved and painted to coordinate. The colors in the cherry blossoms and branches were chosen to compliment the copper tones in the wallpaper.

This elaborate glass vanity features multiple layers of hand chiseled edge glass, each layer being 3/4" thick, layered one on top of the other. The top is finished off with a back painted glass layer. Not shown in these photos, are the fact that this vanity is also LIT and completely glows. The Sink has a chipped top edge, and a glulechipped surface.

A view of the vanity glass base, as it was being assembled. Each layer is 3/4" thick, regular clear glass. The thicker the glass, the greener the hue. When glass is layered, even more so.

This designer of this modern, nuetral color bathroom wanted a soft, light feel added to the glass so a delicate Ferns Design was etched into the glass vanity as well as the sink.

With no limit in design possibilities, some very bold and exciting creations come about! We recently completed a bathroom that features a number of custom glass elements, all featuring coordinated etched, carved and painted designs. Starting with the Shower Enclosure, this client selected our “Triptic” Design, which was then carried thru to the mirror borders and the vanity. The glass sinks are a mixture of deep golden reds and copper hues, perfectly suited to compliment the vanity glass.

Glass Bathroom Vanity, features clear shattered glass and gold mirror. Sink is a brilliant blue with gold accents.

It's difficult to appreciate the beautiful effect in this black, shattered glass vanity. The photo doesn't show the sparkling, beautiful details enough. The vessel is a polished steel. The backsplash is chiseled irregular and we did a mirror above to compliment that features a carved texture around the irregular edge border.

Butterflies a Flutter: Carved & Painted Art Glass Wall Pieces

Butterfly, dimensionally carved and hand painted glass wall art.

These custom designed , carved and hand painted glass butterflies are wall art pieces displayed in the master bath tub area of a private residence. The glass is dimensionally carved, with chiseled edges the shape of each butterfly. The hand painted colors range from gold to soft copper hues with a shiny lacquer coating. Shown here are three different sizes: 20″, 16″ and 14″. There are a total of five in the collection.

Glass Door Cabinets Inserts: Frosted, Carved Custom Glass

Decorative cabinet door glass inserts by Sans Soucie will add an elegant, custom look to kitchen or curio cabinets or any type of display cabinet. If obscurity in the glass is desired, than the majrotiy of the glass surface will be frosted, etched or obscured a number of different ways, as seen on the “Cerelet” cabinet glass below.

Another great option is to gluechip the background, as seen on the “Hearts in Ironwork”, kitchen cabinet glass below. This design n this glass is dimensionally carved in a wrought iron motif, with the background areas gluechipped. The wrought iron motif compliments the design on the cook top backsplash, which really makes it “ultra-custom!”

"Beautiful Bevel Clusters" Leaded Glass Kitchen Cabinet Inserts

Although we specialize in the more custom glass textures and designs, at Sans Soucie, we have a wide range of selection, that also includes a more simple, frosted glass line of cabinet glass. These are frosted glass designs that are sandblasted in either a “positive” or “negative” effect, depending on the desired view into the cabinet. Below are a handful of design examples for this very affordable type of cabinet glass (price from $50 to around $90 each, depending on design and glass size).

Contemporary Door Glass: Frosted, Carved & Hand Painted

This homeowner was looking for a contemporary glass design for their front entry. Our client had the fantastic idea of combining two of our most popular designs into one! Our “Triptic” Design, and our “Water Trails” design were combined to create this gorgeous new geometric, contemporary design aptly named “Triptic Water Trails”.

The background area of the glass is the “Water Trails” .. the glass is frosted, leaving narrow wavy lines running vertically down the glass.

Wide rectangles of varying widths and carved textures were added to the upper portion. Our Triptic design features the same sort of feel with its odd-shaped, irregular edged rectangles. The textures vary from smoother to a more deepr “bumpy” texture we call “Moonscape”, to wavy, narrow, vertical grooves.

We recently finished a gorgeous entry door glass panel for a private residence in Idyllwild, featuring a landscape scene with a view of Idyllwild, California’s well known “Tahquitz Peak” mountain. Set in the design with pine trees and boulders in the foreground and in the distance, the detail brought out in the pine tree needles can hardly be appreciated in these photos!

At Sans Soucie Art Glass Studios, we create a variety of beautiful etched and carved glass designs, with a very broad price range. GLASS SIZE

A“Standard” Pantry Door will be between 24-28″ wide, and 80″ tall, making the typical glass size 20″ x 66.

An 8 Foot Tall Door will usually be around 36″ wide, making the glass size approx. 23″ wide x 80″ tall.

SANDBLAST TECHNIQUE

At Sans Soucie, we can “execute” (sandblast) the same design, a number of different ways, each way or “technique” requiring more or less labor and skill. Below are the four most popular of our (many various) techniques.
