Glass Doors – Common Questions about Shipping
If you’re a homeowner working on a remodel, determining when your glass door will be approximately arriving at your home is important because a remodel is made up of many things coming together, at the right time, in the right order. That’s why it’s important to know WHEN your space will be ready for your new door, so you can have it painted, stained and ready for hanging, when you need it to go in!
1. How long will it take for my door to be shipped to my home?
You can expect your door in either approximately 3 or 6 weeks from the date of order. Although, there are a couple factors that will effect your ETA, (i.e., estimated time of arrival). Things like door material: A door material other than douglas fir or fiberglass will be a 6 week turn around. Sandblast effect: “solid frost” glass is a 3 week turnaround. 2 Dimensional and 3D Carved glass will be put in our 6 week turn around because it takes a much higher skill level and only a hand full of our sandblast artists on our team are able to do this kind of blasting. The last factor that will effect the ETA is the door size. Any 7/0 tall doors will be a 6 week ETA as well as the narrow doors, like 1/6, 1/8, 1/10 and 2/10 wide doors. Other standard door sizes will be put into our 3 week turn-around.
2. How is the door or glass shipped?
All of our doors and glass ship via UPS Freight. The shipment is fully insured and arrives at your doorstep within 1-4 days of the shipment (depending on which state you’re in). If the shipment is being delivered to a residential address UPS freight calls and makes an appointment with a time window to drop off your shipment. If your shipment is going to a business address UPS Freight will drop off the door without an appointment during normal business hours.
3. Can you ship outside of the United States?
Of course! We ship our doors and glass via UPS Freight and are able to ship internationally. We have already shipped to 44 of our 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as other countris like Germany, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Canada.
